45 Years of Friendship and Collaboration

...

Kathmandu — Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya, collectively known as “MaHa Jodi”, are an exemplary duo who have worked together for 45 years. While many beloved artistic duos have emerged in the entertainment industry — and many still exist — the unfortunate truth is that most of them cannot maintain long-term collaboration.

Even artists who are deeply loved by audiences often part ways within a short time. In recent years, popular duos like Jigri–Pandey, Balchi Dhurbe and Raju Master, Deepak Raj Giri and Jitu Nepal, among others, have gone their separate ways despite being well-liked by fans, and are now working individually.

However, Hari Bansha Acharya and Madan Krishna Shrestha are a rare artistic pair who have continued their collaboration for 45 years. There has never been any public talk of disputes or misunderstandings between them.

Madan Krishna Shrestha is currently battling Alzheimer’s disease, which has significantly weakened him. Yet, with the unwavering support of Hari Bansha, he continues to attend programs and events. Truly, this iconic duo has created a lasting legacy of friendship and collaboration.
