
Kathmandu- The three-day Women’s Film Festival, held under the theme “Women in Cinema”, concluded on Thursday. The festival ended with the presence of senior social activist Anuradha Koirala, who honored six women. The festival, which started on Tuesday at the Film Development Board in Saraswatinagar, Chabahil, was organized by the Women Film Workers Empowerment Committee under the Film Development Board, marking the 115th International Women’s Day.
The festival was inaugurated by Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol. Following the inauguration, a 42-year-old film was screened. The festival began with the screening of the film Sindoor and concluded on its final day with the performance of the women-centric play Drishya Paridrishya.
During the event, actresses Karishma Manandhar, Rashmi Bhatt, Shobha Shrestha, Geeta Adhikari, Sarita Sah, Pashupati Rai, and Thinle Lhamo were honored.
