Poster of ‘Janai Haraayeko Manche’ Unveiled Simultaneously in Eight Cities

...

Kathmandu – The poster of the Nepali film ‘Janai Haraayeko Manche: Sambandhka Dhagaharu’ (The Man Who Lost His Sacred Thread: Threads of Relationships) has been officially unveiled. The production team released the posters simultaneously in eight major cities across Nepal, including Kathmandu.

The posters were revealed at 3:30 PM in Kathmandu, Jhapa, Dharan, Itahari, Biratnagar, Birgunj, Butwal, and Nepalgunj. According to the film’s producer Bimal Nyaupane, “We launched the poster in major cities across the country by releasing balloons to create national-level publicity and build anticipation among audiences.”

The team adopted this unique promotional strategy to draw public attention and make regional audiences more aware of the film. The production unit released two different posters designed by Rakesh Dahal. One poster features Vijay Baral alongside Keki Adhikari and Miruna Magar.

The second poster features Keki Adhikari alone. Both posters visually depict the film’s central theme—human relationships and the constraints they bring. In one of the posters, Keki and Miruna stand on either side with Vijay in the middle, all connected by a symbolic thread. Miruna is dressed as a bride, while Vijay is split visually—half draped in Keki’s blue tone and half in Miruna’s red tone.

This symbolism suggests that Keki plays Vijay’s sister, while Miruna is the woman he wants to marry. Miruna has a Mongolian facial appearance, while Vijay and Keki appear Aryan, highlighting a cultural dilemma. The poster reflects Vijay’s inner conflict—whether to adhere to traditional caste-based norms or to take a bold step toward marrying the woman he loves.

In the second poster, Keki is shown bound by threads of yellow, blue, and red colors. This visual metaphor implies her own dilemma—whether to support Vijay’s decision or uphold societal expectations. The poster includes the line, “No matter the pain, my sister never says ouch,” suggesting that Keki stands by Vijay’s decision despite the pain.

The use of color and thread in the posters symbolizes the psychological and emotional conflicts faced by the main characters, offering a distinctive artistic touch that is likely to grab the audience’s attention.
