Kathmandu — Prominent Nepali and Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has voiced her support for Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, claiming that the state has treated him unfairly.
Koirala visited the RSP headquarters today to personally sign the party’s “Justice for Rabi” signature campaign. The campaign is aimed at protesting what the party describes as unjust actions taken against Lamichhane by the state.
Speaking briefly to the media after signing, Koirala clarified her stance:
“I am not affiliated with any political party. As a general citizen, I am here to raise my voice against what I see as injustice carried out by the state.”
When asked by a journalist if she truly believed Lamichhane had been treated unfairly, she responded firmly:
“Definitely. Anyone following the news can see and understand this.”
She then left the venue without responding to further questions.
This show of support from a high-profile public figure adds momentum to the RSP’s ongoing protest campaign surrounding the legal and political challenges faced by its chairman.
