Durgesh Thapa is a popular Nepali singer, songwriter, and performer known for his energetic stage presence and catchy folk-pop songs. Born on May 22, 1990, in Sikkim and raised in Baglung, Nepal, Thapa later moved to Kathmandu to pursue his musical career. He gained widespread recognition with the viral hit “Dushman Hereko Herai,” which featured actress Priyanka Karki and garnered millions of views on YouTube. Known for blending modern pop with traditional Nepali Lok Dohori, his other notable songs include “Don Aayo Don,” “Bicha Bichama,” and “Chhoto Miniskirt.” Despite occasional criticism for repetitive lyrics or lip-syncing during live performances, his connection with mass audiences has made him one of Nepal’s most in-demand artists.
