Devi Gharti Magar, born on January 5, 1986, in Ramuwa, Baglung, is a celebrated Nepali folk singer renowned for her contributions to the lok dohori (folk duet) genre. Known for her melodious voice and energetic performances, she has played a significant role in preserving and modernizing traditional Nepali folk music. She began her musical journey in the early 2000s, meeting her husband, fellow folk singer Raju Dhakal, during a duet program in 2004, and marrying him in 2008. Over the years, Devi has released numerous hit songs such as Oralima Bar, Dui Mutuko Bandhan, Takine Aaina, Banki Chari, Lauri Harayo, and Rudai Fulyo Makhmali, collaborating with renowned artists like Pashupati Sharma, Badri Pangeni, Arjun Sapkota, and Raju Pariyar. Her work has earned her multiple accolades, including Best Female Folk Singer and Most Popular Singer awards from various prestigious music award platforms.
