Tanka Budhathoki

Tanka Budhathoki is a prominent and multi-talented figure in the Nepali music industry, known for his work as a singer, composer, music director, arranger, and producer. Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, he developed a deep passion for music from a young age and gradually made his way into the mainstream Nepali music scene through dedication and talent. Over the years, Tanka has become one of the most influential artists in the country, contributing to a wide range of musical genres including folk, pop, classical, and blues. He is the founder of Studio Nine, a recording studio through which he has produced and recorded many of his well-known songs. Some of his most popular works include Kasari Kasari, Kasari Kasari 2, and Chauri Ko Chamro Chhurpi, among many others, which have gained millions of views on YouTube and are beloved by fans across generations.

Tanka has also composed and arranged music for numerous Nepali films such as Chapali Height, Badri Bahadur, and Joker (Jadugar-2). His music direction in Chapali Height earned him the Best Music Director award at the Nepal Music Awards in 2017. In addition to music, he is expanding his creative reach into filmmaking. His upcoming film Maan Binako Dhan marks his debut as a writer, director, and producer, showcasing his versatility as an artist.
