Kathmandu – The much-anticipated Nepali feature film Malati Mangle, produced by renowned singer Ramkrishna Dhakal, is set for a nationwide release on Baisakh 25 (May 8). Along with the release date, the official poster of the film was unveiled, generating excitement among audiences.
The poster showcases the lead actors Vijay Baral and Varsha Raut in a warm and intimate pose, reflecting the film’s rural setting and its focus on a heartfelt family love story. Designed by Vijay Basyal, the poster highlights the organic, earthy feel of the narrative.
Directed by Praku Pandey, Malati Mangle is described as a pure Nepali family romance suitable for audiences of all ages. The story was written by Pandey himself, with screenplay and dialogues by Sanyog Guragain.
The film is produced under the banner of Rani Music International Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with Uni Entertainment, with Sagar Gyawali as executive producer and co-producers Babu Subedi, Rabin Shrestha, Vedana Karmacharya Shrestha, Padmavati Gurung, and Swikriti Basnet.
Alongside the leads, the cast includes Prakash Ghimire, Sarita Giri, Susma Niraula, Sunil Tamang, Umesh Sunam, Shaku Shah, Suchitra Upreti, Dinesh Shahi, Rijan Pariyar, Tara Sharma, Geeta Shree, Raj Pangeny, Susmita Gurung, and Sagar Bhattarai. Cinematography is by Mahesh Poudel, editing by Romy Moje, color grading by Krishna Bhandari, and sound mixing by Dikesh Khadgi.
The film’s digital distribution will be handled by OSR Digital, and theatrical distribution by RR Films. The production team has announced that Malati Mangle is poised to be a major family release for the upcoming New Year.
