Kathmandu – Character posters of actors Sunil Thapa and Avon Raj Upreti from the Nepali feature film Eklo have been released. The newly released posters showcase distinct looks of both Sunil Thapa and Avon Raj Upreti. Earlier, character posters of Pradeep Khadka, Vijay Lama, Diya Pun, Benisha Hamal, Kabita Nepali, Suraj Singh Thakuri, and Jamie Bacon had already been unveiled.
The film is based on science fiction. In the poster, Diya Pun’s character is named “Astronaut Pun.” The director of the film is Pradeep Shahi. Eklo is Shahi’s third directorial project. Residing in the UK for a long time, Shahi is preparing to make Eklo on par with Hollywood standards. The film is currently in post-production in London. A few weeks ago, Eklo was promoted at Cannes with a dedicated stall, which helped increase its buzz. However, the release date of the movie has not yet been finalized.
The film stars Pradeep Khadka, Vijay Lama, Sunil Thapa, Diya Pun, Benisha Hamal, Dinesh DC, Kabita Nepali, Suraj Singh Thakuri, Avon Raj Upreti, Trichu Rai, Krishnabhakta Maharjan, Bikash Adhikari, Diggaj Khatri, Binod Suvedi ‘Kshitij’, Shreeshesh Shrestha, and child actors Jemin Shrestha and Syon Sabik Singh. British actor Jamie Bacon also plays a role in the film. The producers of Eklo are Raju Kumar Gurung, Hari Shrestha, Bishnu Tamang, Utsav Bista, Bhairaja Thapa, Naveen Shiva, and Bagbir Pun, with Binod Suvedi ‘Kshitij’ as the executive producer.
The film’s cinematography is by Babu Shrestha, action direction by Raju Tamang, set design by Raju Painter, art direction by Santosh Lama, and production design by Dron Prasad Paudel ‘Theuke’. According to director Pradeep Shahi, the character poster release phase is now complete, and the teaser will be released along with the announcement of the film’s official release date.
