Kathmandu — After nearly a decade, actress Tripti Nadkar is making a comeback to acting. She was last seen in the film Manav in 2070 B.S. (2013/14 A.D.) and had disappeared from the screen afterward. Tripti had left the Nepali film industry and was living in India, where she worked as a teacher. Now, she is returning through the film Ka Ka Ki Ki, which is being produced by the Comedy Darbar team.
At one time, Tripti Nadkar ruled the Nepali film industry. Every film she touched became a superhit. She began her acting journey with the movie Samjhana, followed by memorable films like Saino, Kusume Rumal, Lahure, and Koseli. Tripti’s birthplace is India, but she considers Nepal her motherland. Before entering Nepali cinema, she had already acted in four Marathi films. As her father was a producer in the Marathi film industry, she had been acting since childhood.
She also appeared as a child artist alongside actor Rishi Kapoor in the Hindi TV series Lilliput, directed by Anand Mahendroo. Tripti’s son, Dhiraj Nadkar, has also debuted in Nepali cinema. Although Tripti was living in India, her passion for acting never faded. She was in search of a good script—and finally, she has made her comeback.
