‘Akshara’ Film Launched with Ritual Ceremony at Guhyeshwari Temple

Kathmandu — The upcoming Nepali film Akshara has officially commenced production with a traditional muhurat ceremony held Friday morning at Guhyeshwari Temple. The production team performed a script पूजा (worship) to mark the auspicious beginning of the project.

During the muhurat shot, Dinesh Mahara handled the camera, Shankar Maharjan gave the first shot, and Madhusudan Bhattarai called the action. The clap was given by Love Pakurel, while Deepak Dangal broke the ceremonial coconut.

The film features a cast including Sushil Sitoula, Nyancy Khadka, Sushil Pokharel, Pushkar Raut, Rista Adhikari, Anshu Maharjan, Geeta Adhikari, Birendra Kushwaha, and Srijana Adhikari. Child artists Ronak Khadka and Preesa Dhungana will also appear in the film.

Produced under the banner of Kshit Babu Production House, the film marks the directorial debut of Binay Raj Paudel, who has previously worked as an assistant director in numerous films. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Abhimanyu Nirvi.

Surendra Rana serves as the lyricist, with music composed by Karnaraj Giri. Choreography will be handled by Ramji Lamichhane, while action direction is led by Shankar Maharjan.

Madan Neupane is in charge of makeup, Prarthana Bhattarai of costume design, and Dipen Basnyat of cinematography. Suman Kafle is the production manager, while Rakesh Dahal has designed the film’s poster. The film will be distributed by National Cine Group Nepal Pvt. Ltd., led by Deepak Dangal.

The editing is being done by Gautamraj Khadka, with Diwas Bohara serving as chief assistant director and Manoj Bohara as assistant director. The film’s executive producer is Suraj Thapa Kaji, while Ugrasen Dhungana and Sugrasen Dhungana are the producers.
