Kathmandu: Surendra Paudel, a brilliant editor from the Nepali film industry, has revealed that he is set to direct his next feature film ‘Baristha Balaram. The formal announcement of the film was made by Paudel on Monday during the celebration of Basanta Panchami and Saraswati Puja. The film’s screenplay is being penned by Mahesh Dawadi and is planned to be shot on the first week of Fagun next month.
Baristha Balaram will have a social story and portray Dayahang Rai and Vijay Baral in leading roles. It is targeted for release on 2082 BS (2025 AD). So far only Dayahang and Vijay’s names have been confirmed and the production team is yet to announce the details of the actress who is set to star along side Dayahang. The production house has stated that they will make further announcements related to the additional cast and technical crew in the coming days. A teaser will be released shortly, revealing more of the cast members. The film will be shot in the different parts of the Terai.
Siddhi Entertainment is producing Baristha Balaram. The production team is sounding optimistic about the film’s performance as they are convinced the social story it tells will provide value and entertainment to the audience.
