Kathmandu – Applications for the beauty pageant Miss Universe Nepal 2025 are now open. At a press conference held on Wednesday at the Hilton Hotel, the organizing body, Global Glamour Ventures, officially announced the commencement of the application process.
Eligible applicants must be at least 18 years old and have completed their higher secondary education (Grade 12 or equivalent). There are no restrictions regarding height, weight, or marital status. Both Nepali and Non-Resident Nepali (NRN) women are welcome to apply.
“You are beautiful just the way you are. I have always believed that we are all perfect in our own unique ways. This year, we are moving forward with a commitment to make the competition more democratic and inclusive. We welcome women from all backgrounds,” said national director Sangeeta Puri during the event.
Interested candidates can submit their applications through the Khalti app, the Miss Universe Nepal website, or its social media platforms until Asar 15 (June/July).
This year’s competition is said to feature a new format. It will be presented as an eight-episode TV series, allowing viewers to gain deeper insights into both the contestants and the overall competition. For this edition, Miss Universe Nepal will collaborate with the International Labour Organization (ILO).
The grand finale is scheduled to take place in Bhadra (August/September) at Sunrise Hall in Godavari, Lalitpur. Selected contestants from the auditions will undergo a 25-day intensive training camp in Shrawan (July/August), followed by a closed camp leading up to the finale. Renowned choreographer Dikpal Karki will be overseeing the choreography for the event.
