Arjun Sapkota born on January 26, 1999, in Pelakot, Syangja, is a prominent Nepali singer, composer, lyricist, and model known for his contributions to the folk music industry. He began his journey in the media world at a young age, working as a radio jockey at Radio Darpan in Nawalparasi after his family relocated there when he was just five years old. His early exposure to media helped shape his communication skills and stage presence, which later supported his transition into music. Arjun gained nationwide recognition in 2019 with the release of the Lok Dohori hit “Banki Chari Banaima Ramayo,” a duet with Devi Gharti Magar that went viral on his personal YouTube channel. Since then, he has released over 30 songs, many of which such as Baseu Alakkai, Dukha Satamla, Dui Duna Chaar, Pachheuri Lisyo, Fulyo Guransha, Nagara Pir Maya, and A Thuli have become beloved by fans of traditional Nepali folk. Blending authentic rural themes with modern presentation, Sapkota continues to build a bridge between Nepal’s musical heritage and contemporary audiences, earning him a respected place in the new generation of Nepali folk artists.
