Gauri Malla is a renowned Nepali actress, model, and television personality who has made a lasting impact on the Nepali entertainment industry. Born in Kathmandu, she began her acting career in 1989 with the film Santaan, and quickly rose to prominence through notable performances in movies like Cheli Beti, Kanyadan, Tapasya, Aandhi Beri, Chatyang, Naata, and Swarga. She continued her successful journey with films such as Basanti, Mukundo, Sanyas, Mamaghar, Khandan, and Dhansamphati. In recent years, she has appeared in acclaimed films like Gajalu, Blind Rocks, Ghamad Shere, Mahapurush (2022), and Big Girls Don’t Cry (2023).
Gauri Malla has received several prestigious awards, including the Motion Picture Award in 2002 for Best Leading Female and the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Lux Film Awards in 2003.
