Himesh Panta

Himesh Panta is a prominent Nepali stand-up comedian who gained nationwide recognition after winning the first season of Comedy Champion in 2020. Born on December 18 in Dhading, Nepal, he comes from a modest background, with his father running a small donut and bread shop and his mother managing the household. An academically gifted student, Himesh moved to Kathmandu for higher education, attending Nepal Kasthamandap College and later Amrit Science College (ASCOL). His comedic journey began with impersonations of political figures during his school years, but he soon transitioned to content-driven comedy, emphasizing logic, social issues, and satire. His rise to fame was further boosted by his appearances on the Comedy Circle YouTube channel, where his intelligent and humorous performances resonated with younger audiences. His unique comedic style, rooted in political and social commentary, distinguishes him from his peers. After winning Comedy Champion, he was awarded Rs. 2.5 million, a Datsun car, and a world tour, cementing his place in Nepal’s entertainment industry. Recently, Himesh has been featured on the popular comedy show Comedy Darbar, performing alongside both established and emerging comedians. Known for his sharp, socially aware humor, his involvement in the show reaffirms his continued influence in the stand-up scene and showcases his dedication to delivering meaningful, thought-provoking comedy.
