Ibsal Sanjya

Ibsal Sanjyal is a young and influential Nepali folk singer and cultural performer known for her dedication to preserving and promoting Deuda music, a traditional musical genre from the Karnali region of Nepal. Born in 2004 in Nanikot, Pacha Jharana‑6, Kalikot, she began her journey in the performing arts at a young age, initially drawn to acting and dance before discovering her passion for singing.

While many of her peers gravitate toward contemporary pop and modern genres, Ibsal stands out for embracing and revitalizing traditional Deuda through live performances and social media, gaining widespread attention across Nepal and beyond. Her performances highlight cultural identity and the rich heritage of Nepali folk music, making her a notable presence in both live Deuda Dohori competitions and digital platforms.

Ibsal has collaborated with several renowned artists in the Nepali folk music scene, including Raju Pariyar, Milan Lama, Suresh Shahi, and Chattra Shahi, and has appeared in over two dozen music videos while recording a similar number of songs.
