Kushum Sharma

Kushum Sharma, also known as Kusum Sharma, is a rising Nepali model and actress best known for her powerful performance in the viral music video “Sakambari” by Prakash Saput. Born on October 8, 2002, in Nawalpur, Nepal, Kushum initially pursued a career in nursing, studying at Kalika Medical & Technical Institute. However, her career took a dramatic turn when she gained widespread attention for her role as Phoolmaya, a village girl exploited in the city, in Sakambari—a music video that garnered over 25 million views within its first month. The video’s raw portrayal of social issues sparked both praise and controversy, but Kushum stood by the project, asserting that “presenting reality ensures freedom and victory.” Since then, she has featured in several other music videos, including “Jani Mayale”, “Itta Bhattiko”, “Beni Bajarima”, and “Dhokebaaj 3”. With a growing fanbase and confident on-screen presence, Kushum is now stepping into films, making her debut opposite Aryan Sigdel in the upcoming movie “Sanjeevani”.
