Early Life and Background
Najir Husen was born on 7th September 1993 in Dumbarwana, Bara District, Nepal. He belongs to Madhesi origin and a Nepali Muslim by religion. His childhood life in the southern plains of Nepal shaped his artistic and cultural worldview.

Najir was a child with a passion for dance and drama, but to begin with, he did his work in class and in dancing better. There was no acting on his agenda—he merely chanced to experience other performing arts in Kathmandu.

Journey into Theater
Najir Husen migrated to Kathmandu in order to seek higher studies and improve his dancing skills. He took admission at Kathmandu in a class of contemporary ballet, which again improved his dancing skills.

He was spotted by his ballet instructor for his expressional skills, and he was advised to venture into acting as well. Heeding his advice, Husen decided to work with Mandala Theater Nepal, one of Nepal’s leading theatre troupes.

His first performance was in a play called Charandas Chor, in which he played a supporting role. However, his performance was observed and appreciated, and he was soon given the lead role in the play “Buddha Baani.”

Through drama, Najir Husen was introduced to the basics of acting like stage presence, dialogue, and character development. His work in theater introduced him to the inner dynamics of the film industry.

Film Career

Punte Parade: This was Najir Husen’s first appearance in a feature film. Although it starred big names like Priyanka Karki and Samyam Puri, the movie was not commercially successful, and his role did not gain much attention.

First Break in Cinema
Najir Husen made his first entry in Nepali cinema in the movie Punte Parade, starring Priyanka Karki and Samyam Puri. He made a cameo as the “Helmet Guy.” The movie flopped at the box office, and his debut went unseen.

Breakthrough Role in Hostel Returns
His real breakthrough came in the 2015 film Hostel Returns, in which he played the role of Rameshwor Yadav, a Madhesi role. His performance in the role was highly praised, especially for realism while playing a Madhesi role in a mass-market Nepali film.

Success with Bir Bikram 2
After the success of Hostel Returns, Najir continued to work in the industry and secured another leading role as Bikram in Bir Bikram 2. His skill as an actor and his versatility made him more popular, and he turned into one of the finest actors in Nepali cinema.

Junge: A historical action drama based on the story of Jung Bahadur Rana, the first prime minister of Nepal.

Contribution to Music Videos
Apart from films, Najir Husen has also performed in a few Nepali music videos, for which his work has been extremely well-liked. The reason behind his being sought after for emotion-based and story-based songs is his natural acting and facial expressions.
