
Kathmandu — The film “Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho,” which was released on Friday, has been well received by audiences. Viewers coming out of the theaters have openly praised the movie. They shared that the film makes a commendable effort to preserve and promote the Nepali language, literature, and arts, calling it a must-watch for the younger generation.
Actors Roshan Shrestha, Buddhi Tamang, and director Mitra Pradhan visited various cinemas in eastern Nepal to meet the audience. The film unit traveled eastward after noticing an increase in viewers in Damak. On Sunday evening, when the team visited the D-Max cinema hall in Damak, the theater was houseful. Viewers leaving the hall said the movie was truly touching, and many admitted to shedding tears at several moments during the screening.
Popular YouTuber Bhagya Neupane, who also watched the film, said that the movie deeply touched his heart and was beautifully made. In particular, Bhutanese Nepali refugees became emotional, recalling past hardships after watching the film, and many were seen crying in the theater. Director Mitra Pradhan expressed his gratitude and said that the overwhelming audience response has encouraged and motivated him.
The movie features Bijay Baral, Roshan Shrestha, Wilson Bikram Rai, Ayusha Samal, and Buddhi Tamang in lead roles. Produced under the banner of Padma Ishwar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the film is produced by Gyan Bahadur Pradhan Roshan. The story and direction are by Mitra Pradhan (Nar), with screenplay and dialogues written by Shivam Adhikari.
