Kathmandu — The teaser of the much-anticipated Nepali film Balidan has created a sensation on YouTube. Within just 24 hours of its release, the teaser garnered over 1 million views. With this, Balidan has become one of the few Nepali film teasers to receive such a massive digital response in such a short time. Since teasers generally receive less digital traction than songs or trailers, the views achieved by Balidan are considered exceptional.
The star power of lead actor Samir Bhatt and the cinematic presentation by director Santosh Sen are credited as the main driving forces behind this success. With powerful dialogues filled with themes of patriotism, rebellion, and rage, the teaser has made a strong impact on viewers. Samir Bhatt is introduced as an “Action King” in the teaser. has gone viral on social media. Many have commented that the dialogue has ignited energy and pride among the Nepali youth.
Performances by actors such as Saugat Malla, Arpan Thapa, Richa Sharma, and Hemant Budhathoki have further strengthened the teaser’s appeal.
Previously, even the pre-teaser, released on Samir Bhatt’s birthday, had trended on YouTube both in Nepal and abroad. The success of the current teaser has exceeded those expectations, pushing anticipation for Balidan to its peak.
The film is produced under the banner of Asusen Films Pvt. Ltd., with Pawan Bradford Bista as the producer and Prem Puri as the executive producer. Balidan is scheduled for release on the day of Phulpati during the Dashain festival.
