Kathmandu. British actor Jamie Bacon has arrived in Kathmandu. He arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday to act in the Nepali movie ‘Eklo’. The film team came to welcome him at Tribhuvan International Airport. Director Pradeep Shahi, actress Diya Pun, Kabita Nepali and other team. Welcomed him by dressing in ‘dhaka’ cap and flower.
Jamie said he was happy to come to Nepal. He said, “I was already enthusiastic about coming to Nepal. I am happy to work on this co-production film between Nepal and Britain.”
Bacon is also the British production partner for this film. Bacon expressed the hope that this film will strengthen the relationship between Nepal and Britain and develop Nepal as an attractive filming destination in Asia. Shahi, the director of the film, said that he was happy to cast a British actor in a Nepali film. He said, ”this might be the first time for a Nepali film. A British actor came and acted in a Nepali movie.”
This film tells a fictional story of a future where humans will leave planet Earth by 2030 due to a dangerous virus. 60 years later, British astronaut Jack (Bacon) crash lands in the Himalayas with his partner. Actor Bacon will stay in Nepal for 30 days. He will participate in the filming in Kathmandu and Upallo Mustang. The shooting schedule of 45 days will start from Thursday. Actor Bacon will also participate in the auspicious ‘puja’ at Bhadrakali on Wednesday morning.
