Kathmandu- Artist Chhiring Sherpa, who has earned international recognition for her contributions to Nepali art, dance, and adventure, won two awards at the Nepal Nations Award 2025 held in the capital. She received the Best Female Model Mother Language Song award for the Sherpa-language song “Syarkhumbuki Samdini” and the Best Actress award for the Sherpa film “Tinchen Phama.” The awards were organized by the Man Khusi Foundation, Bagmati Province, in collaboration with the central committee of Karan Dreams Foundation.
Chhiring is the winner of Dancing with the Stars Nepal 2022. In the same year, she set a Guinness World Record for the Highest Altitude Choreographed Dance on Land Pair at Kalapatthar. She is also an Everest summiteer, model, actress, and event organizer.
The event was held in coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Belkotgadhi Municipality–9 (Nuwakot), and Chandragiri Municipality–9 (Kathmandu). Attendees included former Deputy Speaker of Bagmati Province Radhika Tamang; central president of the National Musicians’ Association and singer Prakash Katuwal; founder president of the Man Khusi Foundation and social activist Man Bahadur Tamang, among others. The awards coordinator was Dinesh Tamang, and the chairperson was Karan Tamang.
