Kathmandu – The film Mahabhoj, which is set to be released nationwide starting Thursday, received praise during a special screening. On Tuesday evening, a special screening was held in Kathmandu, where cooperative victims, the film team, and journalists watched the movie.
After viewing the film, cooperative victims shared that it vividly reflected the harsh realities of their own lives. They said the film’s subject matter further empowered and inspired them to continue their fight for justice.
Viewers remarked that Mahabhoj is not merely a source of entertainment, but also serves as a voice for a movement. According to them, the film raises profound questions about the state’s mechanisms and accountability.
Meanwhile, advance booking for Mahabhoj has been opened nationwide. According to distributors, the film will be screened across Nepal with around 200 showings.
The film features prominent performances by Dayahang Rai, Aryan Sigdel, Khagendra Lamichhane, Anjana Baraili, Malika Mahat, Gaumaya Gurung, Basundhara Bhusal, and Mohan Niraula, among others.
