Dayahang Rai Calls Mirmire a Deeply Emotional Father–Daughter Story

Kathmandu — Actor Dayahang Rai has described the upcoming film Mirmire as a deeply emotional story that reflects a parent’s dreams and hopes for their children, portrayed through the relationship between a father and his daughter.

According to Dayahang, the film shows how a father hides his own pain and worries while presenting happiness in front of his daughter. He shared that his focus in Mirmire was on expressing emotions from within, rather than displaying them overtly on screen.

“On the surface, it may look like a simple father–daughter story, but when you look deeper, Mirmire contains many layers,” Dayahang said. He added that he chose the film because it presents emotions that may not be immediately visible but become meaningful when audiences reflect on them. “This is not a film about showing how sad or happy one can be; it’s a film to be watched with passion and thought,” he noted.
