Kathmandu – At a time when many songs on YouTube rely on paid promotions and sponsored boosts to quickly increase their view counts, singer Bhumika Giri says her latest Teej song Dimki Nadim reached a major milestone without spending a single rupee on YouTube promotion.
Released just two weeks ago, Dimki Nadim has surpassed 1 million views on YouTube. To celebrate the achievement, Bhumika cut a celebration cake on Tuesday alongside the song’s lyricist and composer Rishi Khadka and featured performer Dona Thapa. The celebration was also attended by the Artist Khabar team.
Responding to questions about whether the impressive viewership was the result of paid promotion, Bhumika firmly denied using any sponsored boost.
“We didn’t spend even a single rupee on boosting the video. We had already invested heavily in producing both the audio and the music video. We hired quality artists to make the video as good as possible, so we were not in a position to spend more money on promotion—and we didn’t,” she said.

She added that the song’s success is entirely due to the love and support of audiences.
The song features vocals by Bhumika Giri and Rishi Khadka, with music also composed by Khadka. The music arrangement was done by Shyam Shwet Rasaili. The music video stars Dona Thapa and Juna Bishwakarma, while Binod Bhandari directed the video.
