Kathmandu — Bishnu Sapkota, the former husband of popular singer Alina Chauhan, has spoken out publicly. He stated, “I am also moving forward through legal channels.” Sapkota claimed that misleading and defamatory information is being spread about him on social media, and that he is currently seeking legal advice both in Australia and Nepal.
In a lengthy status post, he wrote, “I am consulting legal experts in both Nepal and Australia. The false news being circulated about me is seriously damaging my personal and social reputation. It’s not that I stayed silent because I had no platform to speak. After our divorce, we had agreed not to bring personal matters into the public, which is why I chose to remain silent. However, as my character continues to be assassinated, I am going through mental distress. And now, I have decided to pursue legal action.”
Although their divorce was done through mutual consent, he mentioned that the recent misleading TikTok videos and false activities have gravely affected his personal and social reputation.
