Kathmandu — Singer Eleena Chauhan says, “The more you stay silent, the more you tolerate, the more you endure — the more people look down on you and criticize you.” A while ago, when Prismas and Richa didi, and Samiksha brought things out into the open, she thought everything might finally settle down. “I used to think this was something recent and would gradually fade away, that it wouldn’t always be like this,” she added.
She continues, “But you people keep bringing up the same thing, constantly poking at it — what do you even gain from it?”
“People say that when you’re a celebrity or a national artist, you have to endure such things. Who said you have to endure it? You don’t. No one should have to tolerate wrongdoing. I don’t hurt others, and I won’t allow myself to be hurt either. I will take legal action against anyone who makes abusive comments. This video isn’t made because I couldn’t bear it. It’s made to say — why should I bear it at all? Don’t you have sisters or mothers in your home? Even if I can handle it, maybe my parents can’t, maybe my sisters can’t. That’s why I won’t stay silent anymore.”
Eleena posted a video addressing those on social media who have been linking her name with her ex-husband, Bishnu Sapkota, and making derogatory comments. Her anger is clearly visible in the video.
