 
                            
                            Kathmandu — Singer Elina Chauhan, who has just returned to Nepal after completing a long U.S. tour, has expressed her dissatisfaction with the organizers. Stating that she would “tell things as they are,” she wrote a Facebook status saying that artists were not treated with respect but rather like servants. She wrote, “Artists were not respected; we were treated like servants. Some felt like prisoners, and some had to endure humiliation.” Chauhan expressed strong anger toward the organizers.
During the tour, singers Badri Pangeni, Pratap Das, and Kala Lamsal had accompanied her. Singer Kala Lamsal had expressed her dissatisfaction with the organizers and returned to Nepal shortly after arriving in the U.S., while Pangeni and Das have not commented on the issue.
