Kathmandu — The film ‘Himalayan Gold’ has been officially announced. The launch event took place on Tuesday at the Kamaladi Ganesthan in Kathmandu, marked by a muhurat ceremony. Filming is scheduled to begin from November.
The film is set against the backdrop of the Himalayan region and will feature the acting talents of Karm, Pariksha Limbu, Sunil Thapa, Menuka Pradhan, Sajan Thapa, Ankit Khadka, Sunil Tamang, Tenzing Thakuri, Sabita Adhikari, Rishikesh Basyal and Rahul Mukhiya.
The film is written and directed by Dhiraj Rajbanshi, marking his directorial debut. Cinematography will be handled by Vasishtha Pradhan. Set in the year 1992, the story revolves around a young village woman who, while climbing into the mountains to collect the valuable yarsagumba fungus, faces a ruthless gang of robbers and must struggle through hardship and conflict.
