Kathmandu — The first-look poster of the upcoming film “36ko Aankada” (The Figure of 36), produced under actress Rekha Thapa’s home production banner, has been released. The poster features lead actresses Rekha Thapa and Pooja Sharma. Rekha, portraying a police officer, is shown arresting Pooja with handcuffs. Rekha’s expression reflects a sense of victory achieved after struggle, while Pooja’s face conveys a continued sense of defiance, indicating the conflict is not yet over.
The newly released poster presents a unique scene rarely seen in Nepali cinema. It appears the film centers around a conflict between two female characters possibly the first of its kind in the history of Nepali film. This suggests that the movie may offer a distinct and unconventional storyline.
Released even before the film goes on the floor, the first-look poster is expected to build anticipation among viewers. Both actresses, who have established themselves as leading ladies with diverse roles in Nepali cinema, are set for an on-screen clash that promises to be compelling for the audience.
Directed by Sabir Shrestha, the film is set to begin shooting this coming Monday. The production team has not yet revealed details about other cast members or the technical crew in the poster but mentioned that these details will be shared after filming begins. Rekha will be paired with Mahesh Tripathi, who has recently gained popularity for his performances, while Pooja will be seen opposite Pushpa Khadka.
