Kathmandu — Global IME Bank has launched the Non-Resident and Overseas Banking Division (NROBD) to provide dedicated banking services for Nepali citizens living abroad.
The new department was formally inaugurated on Thursday by the bank’s Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal during a special programme held at the bank. Through this division, overseas Nepali customers will be able to access services such as account opening, credit processing, transaction banking, capital market services and portfolio management from a single service window.

Chief Executive Officer Surendra Raj Regmi said the new initiative aims to strengthen the bank’s relationship with the Nepali diaspora by providing convenient, fast and transparent banking services. The department, located at the bank’s corporate office in Naxal, Kathmandu, will help connect Nepalis abroad with investment opportunities and financial services in Nepal.
