Damak — The highly anticipated romantic film ‘Kumari’, set to release on February 4 (Magh 23), has intensified its grand promotional campaign across eastern Nepal. After unveiling its trailer in a historic event attended by over 10,000 audiences at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, the film’s team embarked on an eastern Nepal promotion tour.
As part of the campaign, the ‘Kumari Live Musical Concert’ was successfully held at Madhumalla Bazaar in Morang. Organized at the premises of Bhagwati Secondary School, the musical event witnessed an enthusiastic crowd of nearly 2,000 people. Lead actors Abishek Khadka and Aakriti Rajbhandari performed a live dance to the film’s superhit song ‘Doko Bunne’, drawing loud cheers from the audience. Playback singer Kehar Singh Limbu further energized the crowd by performing popular tracks including ‘Doko Bunne’, ‘Timi Bina’, and ‘Kata Chhau’. Despite the cold weather, audiences stayed at the venue until 11 pm, showing strong support for the artists.
Meanwhile, actor Abishek Khadka visited his hometown Birtamod, Jhapa, on Saturday afternoon along with co-star Aakriti Rajbhandari. They received a warm and grand welcome from relatives and neighbors. The atmosphere turned emotional when Abishek met his father after a long time, with both lead actors seen visibly moved amid the overwhelming response.
Earlier, the film’s trailer was launched at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, in the presence of more than 10,000 spectators. Director Dinesh Raut expressed his excitement over the audience’s response, stating that the positive reaction has boosted the team’s confidence ahead of the theatrical release.
Produced by Mahendra Adhikari under the banner of Vinish Entertainment, Kumari portrays themes of love, struggle, and family conflict.
