Kathmandu: The makers of ‘Hunter’ have officially announced the film’s release date with the unveiling of a striking face-off poster, confirming that the action-packed drama will hit theaters nationwide on September 25 (Ashoj 9).
Written and directed by Jeevan Singh, the film marks his directorial debut.
The newly released poster hints at a gripping storyline, placing lead actors Arun Chhetri and Prakash Shah face-to-face in what appears to be a fierce battle. While Shah’s piercing gaze reflects rage, Chhetri’s expression is filled with vengeance, suggesting a deadly clash between the “hunter” and the “prey.”
In contrast, the lower half of the poster presents a softer side of the story, featuring Arun Chhetri and Supragya Sharma in a romantic moment. The visual suggests that beneath the film’s intense action lies an emotional love story that could ultimately fuel the central conflict.
According to director Jeevan Singh, ‘Hunter’ is inspired by real-life characters and situations from society rather than a fictional world.
The film is produced in association with Trident Concept, with Mamata Singh, Govinda Raj, and Raj A. Bhatt serving as producers. Manish Chand, Yuna Shahi, and Santosh Asna Pal are co-producers, while Royal Bhimsen (Bhimsen Shahi) is the executive producer.
Besides Arun Chhetri, Prakash Shah, and Supragya Sharma, the cast includes Garima Sharma, Saroj Khanal, Ramesh Budhathoki, Ruja Raut, Roshani Dahal, Gita Adhikari, Suraj Bhandari, Tekraj Sharmaal, and Lal Bahadur Thapa, among others.
The film is edited by Jeevan Singh, with cinematography by Krishna Thapa, action direction by Shukraraj Shah, choreography by Bikram Swar and Sanjay Khimjim, and music composed by Babul Giri, Chakra Bam, and Mahesh Tamrakar.
Set for release on the eve of Nepal’s Dashain festival, ‘Hunter’ aims to attract mass audiences with its blend of action, emotion, and drama. The film will be distributed nationwide by RR Films, led by Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha.
