KATHMANDU — Marking the first day of the Nepali New Year 2083, several new film projects have been announced, with some also confirming their release dates. Among them, the Nepali film Jadau has officially locked its release for Bhadra 12 (late August).
The announcement was made alongside the unveiling of the film’s poster. Directed jointly by Anjan Sharma and Kaji Limbu, the film is presented by Samishran Movies & Entertainment in collaboration with Silver Screen Entertainment.
The newly released poster features the film’s lead cast — Mukul Bhusal, Richa Sharma, Niti Shah, Prabhat Pal Thakuri, and Rajshree Thapa — each portrayed in distinct emotional expressions, hinting at the film’s narrative depth.
Jadau is based on an inter-caste love story. The film is co-produced by Ramraja Subedi, Sumitra Devkota, Narayan Shastri, Arjun Khadka, and Gokul KC. Cinematography is handled by Shyam Tamang, while the script has been written by director Kaji Limbu himself.
The film also stars CP Pudasaini (Dhurte), Binod Neupane, Sandhya Shrestha, Khadga Bahadur Pun (Khabapu), Bishal Pahadi, Sundar Dhital, Naresh Poudel, among others. Choreography is by Ramji Lamichhane, with music composed by Arjun Pokharel and Babul Giri.
Following the poster release, the film has begun generating buzz on social media, raising audience anticipation. The production team has stated that the trailer and additional promotional materials will be released soon.
The film will be distributed by NCGN, with Hi-Tech Entertainment serving as the digital partner.
