Kathmandu- The movie Jari 2: Song of Chyabrung, which was released last Friday, is performing well at the box office. The film, showing strong business across the country, has been particularly successful in theaters in Eastern Nepal.

Based on the story of the Limbu community, the film’s success at the box office prompted director Upendra Subba and actress Miruna Magar to visit Eastern Nepal for audience interactions. On Monday, the team met audiences in Damak and Birtamod in Jhapa, and today, Tuesday, they will engage with viewers at various theaters in Dharan and Itahari in Sunsari.

From today, a 14-minute extended “Director’s Cut” version of the film has been released. Director Subba expressed that the warm welcome and love from Eastern Nepal’s audiences have given him both joy and the motivation to present even better films in the future.

Meanwhile, lead actress Miruna Magar said that the new version has added extra excitement for the audience. “Yesterday we interacted with viewers in Damak and Birtamod. The film, written and directed by Upendra Subba, is produced by Rambabu Gurung, Madhu Mijar, and Jeevan Gurung. It features Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, and Vijay Baral in lead roles.
