‘Jhinge Dau 2’ Unveils First Song ‘Mahima Aamako’ Ahead of Release

Kathmandu: The makers of the upcoming Nepali film Jhinge Dau 2, slated for release on September 18 (Asoj 2), have unveiled the film’s first song titled “Mahima Aamako”.

The emotional track features vocals by Pramod Kharel and Manisha Sunar, with lyrics by Dr. Krishnahari Baral and music composed by Arjun Pokharel.

“Mahima Aamako” pays tribute to the unconditional love and sacrifices of mothers while highlighting the harsh reality of elderly mothers being left in old-age homes. The song reflects the emotional core of the film’s storyline.

Produced under the banners of Kapangadhi Cinema Pvt. Ltd. and Film Crew Nepal Pvt. Ltd., the music video features special appearances by veteran actors Madan Krishna Shrestha and Mithila Sharma, alongside lead cast members Aryan Sigdel, Hiunwala Gautam, Basundhara Bhusal, and Chaitya Devi.

Directed by Gyanendra Deuja, the film is produced by Sulav Pratik Deuja and Samikshya Deuja. It features cinematography by Bishnu Timilsina ‘Kalpit’, editing by Mitra D. Gurung, music by Arjun Pokharel, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane, and action direction by Roshan Shrestha.

The production team appears to have invested significant effort in filming the song, with choreographer Ramji Lamichhane crafting visuals that complement its emotional theme.

The ensemble cast includes Keki Adhikari, Anchal Sharma, Mahesh Tripathi, Kushal Bista, Aryan Sigdel, Hiunwala Gautam, Saroj Khanal, Basundhara Bhusal, Chaitya Devi Singh, Sangam Bhandari, Bijay Deuja, Anshu Maharjan, Abhaya Raj Baral, Uttam KC, Shivhari Bairagi, Asha Bhusal, Rain Pradhan, Binod Kumar Poudel, Ashish Purush, Bishnu Sapkota, and Narendra Thapa.

The screenplay and dialogues are by Parichhed Sen, with story by Govinda Phuyal and Shishir Chalise. Bibek Basnet and Ishwar Sinkheman handled cinematography, while Ishwar Ghimire served as production manager.

After recently releasing the film’s official poster to kick off promotions, the makers expect the launch of the first song to further build anticipation.

Released three years ago, the original Jhinge Dau was a box-office success. As its sequel, Jhinge Dau 2 is expected to continue that momentum when it hits cinemas on September 18, with Apple Entertainment handling nationwide distribution.
