‘Kangal Karodpati’ Begins Journey with Muhurat, Filming to Start on Bhadra 29

Kathmandu: The upcoming Nepali film ‘Kangal Karodpati’, to be directed by Raju Shrestha, has completed its auspicious muhurat ceremony at Ganeshthan in Kamaladi on Friday.

Presented by Prabin Acharya, the film features Mukun Bhusal, Manjil Kumar, Salina Tamang, Rakshya Thapa, Hiuwala Gautam, Chandrabir Singh, Anil Budhathoki, Rare Rai, Prapti Shrestha, Padam Singh, Rajan Kathri, Hari Bhandari and Bhimsena Khatiwada, among others.

The film is scheduled to go on floors from Bhadra 29. Anil Kumar Budhathoki is producing the project, with Ashwin Baral, Dipesh Tiruwa and Prabin Rai serving as co-producers. Rita Shrestha Tamang and Suraj Kumar are the line producers.

The film is based on a story by Ram Krishna Bajgain, while Chanas Pun Magar has written the screenplay and dialogues. Produced under the banner of Cinema Pathshala Pvt. Ltd., the film will feature cinematography by Hari Ghale Lama and action direction by Dev Maharjan.

Music for the film will be composed by SD Yogi, Nirajan Rai and Dipson Limbu, while Pradeep Lama will choreograph the dance sequences. Jeevan Gautam serves as the chief assistant director, Saroj Shrestha as production controller and Sudip Adhikari as art director.

Set against a social and family-oriented storyline, the film team observed a moment of silence and paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the recent floods and landslides in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading before the muhurat ceremony.

The production team has also announced a financial contribution of NPR 51,000 to support those affected by the disaster.
