Kathmandu: Karan Pariyar wanted to go to Indian Idol. He was born in a village near the Indian border, so from a young age, he was fond of Hindi songs. He preferred listening to and singing Hindi songs more than Nepali ones.
Karan was preparing to audition for Indian Idol, but one of his teachers advised him to first participate in Nepal Idol — to learn and understand more — before trying out for Indian Idol. Following that advice, he auditioned for Nepal Idol.
Even during the audition, he hadn’t imagined that he would win Nepal Idol or that he could sing so well. But something unexpected happened in his life. From the audition itself, his voice was appreciated by the judges — including the renowned George — and loved by people across Nepal. Eventually, he won everyone’s hearts and claimed the title of Nepal Idol. Now, he has said that he will fulfill his dream of going to Indian Idol.
