
Kathmandu – The song “Ladki Gori” from the movie “Abhimanyu: Chapter–1” has garnered 1 million views in just two days. Released on Friday, the song has quickly surpassed the 1 million mark. Created in a Bhojpuri tone, the song follows a dance pattern. With an upbeat rhythm perfect for dancing, the audience has appreciated the song. This type of song is one that youths would openly dance to at fairs, festivals, and celebrations.
At a time when dance numbers are trending, this song has been warmly welcomed by the audience. It is expected to gain even more popularity in the Terai region. While Bhojpuri songs are commonly played and performed in Terai, this song, although in a Bhojpuri tone, uses Nepali lyrics—making it likely to become evergreen in the Terai-Madhesh area. The lyrics, music, and vocals are by Prashant Shiwakoti and Prerana Singh. The music is arranged by Bisham Acharya. The song features an item dance by Juna Sundas, with choreography by Rohan Bishwakarma.
The film “Abhimanyu: Chapter–1” is set to release on Bhadra 27 (Nepali calendar). The Hindi version will release on Asoj 6 (September 22), according to the production team. Producer Binod Poudel stated that the Hindi version will also have a worldwide release. The film tells the story of a person who gets trapped in a maze of greed for money and struggles to escape from it.
Currently in post-production, the main cast of “Abhimanyu: Chapter–1” includes Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Sarita Giri, Gaumaya Gurung, Laxmi Bardewa, Shishir Wangdel, Kiran Shrestha, Prakash Dahal, and Sushma Niraula.
Presented by Seven Seas Cinema, the film is directed by Sushant Gautam. This marks his directorial debut. The screenplay is written by Mukesh Khanal, and the creative director is Madan Thapa. The producers of “Abhimanyu: Chapter–1” are Binod Poudel and Gunjan Giri. The co-producers are Ramesh Chaulagai and Hari Shrestha, while the executive producers include Bishal Lama, Hari Moktan, Krishna Bhattarai, Nirajan Luintel, and Sandesh Shrestha. Jivan Shakya is the line producer. The film’s VFX is handled by Manoj Shrestha, color grading by Suprem Parajuli, editing by Madan Ghimire, and DOP by Sharad Mahato.
