Kathmandu — On the occasion of Tihar, the release date of the upcoming film Jerry on Top has been set for Asoj 31 (October 17), and its first-look posters have been unveiled. Production company Ananya Films Pvt. Ltd. kicked off the film’s promotional campaign on Thursday by releasing three posters simultaneously.
The posters feature the film’s three lead actors — Anmol KC alongside actresses Aanchal Sharma and Jassita Gurung. The backgrounds of the posters hint at the storyline: in one, Anmol and Jassita appear as mountain climbers, while another shows Anmol in a romantic setting with both actresses, suggesting a love triangle in Jerry on Top.
Directed by Suyog Gurung, the film stars not only Anmol, Aanchal, and Jassita but also popular comedy actor Kedar Ghimire ‘Magne Budha’, veteran actor Bhuwan KC, actresses Surakshya Panta and Usha Khadka. Interestingly, Anmol’s real-life father Bhuwan KC also plays his father on screen in this film. Producer Saroj Neupane stated that the released posters are just the beginning, with many surprises from the film to be revealed gradually. Neupane described the posters as the result of the entire team’s immense hard work.
The film has been shot in locations including the Everest Base Camp, Kathmandu, and Mustang. Some scenes were filmed on a set built in Kathmandu at a cost of nearly 10 million rupees. Presented by Saroj Neupane, the film is produced by Robin Sherchan, Ramkrishna Shrestha, and Deepak Bhandari, with a story by Hemraj BC. Anuradha Giri and Ishwar Shrestha serve as executive producers, and Navin Ghimire, Bibek Thapa, and Bhawishya Khadka as associate producers.
The music for Jerry on Top is composed by Kali Prasad Baskota, Jayan J. Waiba, Johan Chamling Rai, and Brijesh Shrestha. The screenplay is by Bishwas Timilsina and cinematography by Dulip Regmi. Hong Kong-based LG Associates has acquired international distribution rights (excluding Australia), while in Nepal, the rights are held by Reach Entertainment and FD Company.
