National Dalit Commission extends best wishes to ‘Man Binako Dhan’.

Kathmandu – The National Dalit Commission has extended best wishes to the film “Man Binako Dhan,” which is currently being screened in cinemas nationwide in its third week. Issuing a statement on Wednesday, Commission Chair Devraj Bishwakarma expressed gratitude and best wishes to the team of the film Man Binako Dhan.

The Commission expressed appreciation for the film, which stars popular child singer Ashok Darji in the lead role, stating that it delivers a positive message against deep-rooted social evils like caste-based discrimination and untouchability.

The film effectively portrays important social aspects such as the teacher–student relationship, family values, and the importance of duty and education. The Commission also stated that the movie has the potential to raise social awareness, and while thanking the production team and the associated artists, it wished Tank Budhathoki and his team continued success in building a caste-discrimination-free society.

Along with Nepal, the film is being successfully screened in Qatar, the UAE, and Bahrain, and it is set to release in Australia from Mangsir 13. The film has collected more than three crore rupees at the Nepali box office within 13 days and has been well received by the audience. It will soon be screened in Saudi Arabia, Korea, and other countries as well.

Emotional scenes of viewers hugging Ashok Darji and crying upon meeting him and the cast both inside and outside Kathmandu have been seen. Videos of fans embracing Ashok and crying have gone viral on social media. When actors Ashok Darji and Ramesh Bishwakarma visited Sarlahi, they were welcomed with traditional panche baja, and the artists were taken to the film hall with respect symbolized by dubo grass.

The film features performances by Ashok Darji, Saroj Khanal, Santosh Pant, Rama Thapaliya, Neeta Dhungana, Bhola Sapkota, Buddhi Tamang, Ramesh Bishwakarma, Rabindra Jha, Parvati Adhikari, Utsav Sapkota, A.R. Budhathoki, Shankar Shrestha, Samragyee Thapa, Bina Raut, A.R. Budhathoki, Babu Parajuli, Raksha Shrestha, Priyanka Jha, Vinay Adhikari, Aryan Pokharel, Vijay Dangol, among others.

The film “Man Binako Dhan,” produced and directed by Tank Budhathoki, is written by Budhathoki himself, while the screenplay and dialogues are written by Shivam Adhikari. Produced under the banner of Tank Budhathoki Production, the film is produced by Bishnumaya Mainali, with Minu Sharma (Sapana) as the executive producer. Similarly, G.P. Sangroula, Bibek Nepal, and Bijaya Pandey are co-producers. Tikaram Budhathoki is the creative director of the film.
