Kathmandu- With the aim of bringing Nepali cinema closer to international audiences, the International Nepali Film Festival and Awards (INFFA) has announced that its upcoming edition will be held in New Delhi, the capital of India. Scheduled to take place from February 1 to 3, 2026, the festival aims to connect Nepali cinema with cross-border markets and audiences, according to the organizers.

According to a press release issued by the organizing body, Nepali feature films released in 2025 will be selected for competition at the festival. The final deadline for film submissions is January 7, 2026. The festival will provide Nepali producers and directors with an opportunity to present their creations on an international platform.

Awards will be presented in categories including Best Feature Film, Direction, Acting, and various technical fields. The event will also feature a red carpet awards ceremony, film premieres, special screenings, interactive sessions, and cultural programs. Participation by national and international filmmakers and critics is expected to make the festival more multidimensional.

The chief juror for this edition will be senior actor Krishna Malla. The jury panel will include director Tulsi Ghimire, actor Sunil Thapa, actress Bipana Thapa, and renowned Indian theatre actor Abhatar Sahni.

Rajendra Ghimire is the President of the International Nepali Film Festival and Awards (INFFA), while Janak Deep Parajuli will serve as the Festival Director (Nepal). The organizers expect the participation of thousands of audiences and film professionals, and have stated that the festival aims to develop into an important platform for collaboration between emerging talent and the established film industry.
