Nepali Film ‘Paran’ Marks 75 Days, Announces Special Ticket Discount

Kathmandu — The Nepali film Paran has completed 75 days of its theatrical run as of today. To celebrate the milestone, the production team has announced a special ticket discount for a limited time.

Producer Ranjit Acharya said the offer has been introduced as part of the film’s 75-day celebration for audiences who have not yet watched the movie. “On the occasion of completing 75 days, we have arranged this discount for our respected viewers who may have missed watching Paran. This offer is available only for a few days, and we encourage audiences to come and experience the film,” he said.

According to Acharya, the discount is exclusively available for tickets purchased through the Khalti app. Viewers buying tickets via Khalti will receive a cashback of NPR 75. On Tuesday alone, Paran is running five shows in Kathmandu, while six shows are already available on Khalti for Wednesday.

In addition, the cast and production team of Paran will celebrate the 75th day this evening by cutting a cake with audiences attending the 4:00 PM show at City Square.

As per data released by the Film Development Board, Paran had collected NPR 177,422,190 by last Saturday (its 72nd day of screening). With the continued support and love from audiences, the production team remains hopeful that the film will successfully complete a 100-day theatrical run.

Paran is directed by Deepak Prasad Acharya (Kaku), based on a story by Acharya himself, with screenplay and dialogues written by Yam Thapa. The film is produced by Baiscope Cinema Pvt. Ltd., a company jointly established by Nepal’s renowned business houses Golchha Group and Prisma Group.

The film features an ensemble cast including veteran actors Neer Shah, Mahesh Shah, and Anjana Baraili, along with Madan Krishna Shrestha, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, Praveen Khatiwada, Buddhi Tamang, Yaseli Yonghang, Babin Rai, Pushparaj Ojha, Seema Kafle, Daman Rupakheti, Yaman Shrestha, Subrata Raj Acharya, Suresh Thapa, Binod Rai, and child actor Aryadeep Acharya, among others.
