Kathmandu – A new poster for the film “Abhimanyu: Chapter–1” has been released, depicting a blend of joy and tension. The poster, unveiled today by the production team, captures expressions of happiness and stress on the faces of the main characters. It features the top six characters of the movie, with Kameshwar Chaurasiya in the central position. Sporting long hair and a beard, Chaurasiya appears cheerful, while other actors—Shishir Wangdel, Prakash Dahal, Gaumaya Gurung, Laxmi Bardewa, and Sarita Giri—reflect varying degrees of tension and concern.
The poster also includes visuals of government offices, one of which is the District Prison in Morang. Another government building is partially visible, though its identity is unclear. The poster’s color grading and the expressions of the characters suggest elements of daring, pressure, and chaos—though it remains uncertain what specifically these emotions point to. Speculations can be made around money, relationships, or trust being central themes.
Earlier, on Monday, two other posters for “Abhimanyu: Chapter–1” were released, which also reflected similar emotional contrasts of happiness and stress.
The movie is set to release on Bhadra 27 (September 12, 2025). Its Hindi version will be released worldwide on Asoj 6 (September 22, 2025), according to the production team. Producer Binod Paudel stated that the Hindi version will have a global release. The film revolves around a person who falls into a web of deception driven by the lure of money and struggles to escape from it—a story of entrapment and personal struggle.
Currently in post-production, the film stars Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Sarita Giri, Gaumaya Gurung, Laxmi Bardewa, Shishir Wangdel, Kiran Shrestha, Prakash Dahal, and Sushma Niraula in lead roles. Presented by Seven Seas Cinema, Abhimanyu: Chapter–1 is directed by Sushant Gautam, marking his directorial debut.
