Kathmandu: The film “Janai Haraeko Manche: Sambandhaka Dhagaharu” (The Man Who Lost His Sacred Thread: Threads of Relationships) has begun revealing its character looks. A few days ago, the production team unveiled the character look of lead actor Bijay Baral, and today, they released the looks of Bholaraj Sapkota and Aroos Bhusal.
Bholaraj Sapkota appears in a shirt, waistcoat, and traditional Dhaka topi. With a thick beard, he seems slightly stressed. Alongside him is Aroos, carrying a bag, with a shaved head, dressed in red clothes drenched in sweat. His appearance suggests he is studying Sanskrit, a notion reinforced by the temples in the background. Aarush plays the role of Bholaraj’s son in the film. Speaking about the role, Aroos said, “In this world, the most expensive thing is a father’s sweat.” This line reflects the struggle of a father for his son.
“Janai Haraeko Manche: Sambandhaka Dhagaharu” is directed by Himal Neupane, with Bijay Baral in the lead role. The film is scheduled for release on Bhadra 6 (August 22, 2025) and is currently in post-production. Associate director of the film is actor Manish Raut, known for Prem Geet 3. According to Raut, the movie delicately explores the subtle and emotional threads of the father-son relationship. He stated, “This bond is the deepest to feel, yet the hardest to express in words. We’ve tried to capture this emotion in the film.”
With a strong lineup, the movie features performances by Bijay Baral, Bholaraj Sapkota, Aarush Bhusal, along with actresses Keki Adhikari and Miruna Magar, and actors Gaurav Pahari, Sushank Mainali, Riyar Rai, Bhawana Khapangi Magar, Rupesh Lama, Suman Thapa, among others.
The film is produced under the banner of Paperclip, with Kamal Neupane and Bimal Neupane as producers. Executive producers include Narayan Timilsina, Chudamani Sibakoti, RK Manandhar, CR Basnet, Philip DC, and James Maharjan. The music is composed by Thaneshwor Gautam, Arjun Pokharel, SD Yogi, and Prashant Sibakoti. Navin Gurung is the DOP (Director of Photography), and Krishna Pariyar handled cinematography.
The story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Bhanubhakta Dhakal. Dinesh Bahadur Raut is the chief assistant director, with Tarkaraj Neupane, Rabindra Nepal, Monika Thapa, and Akash KC as assistant directors. Laxmanraj Paudel is the production controller.
The film’s distribution is handled by Govinda Shahi’s Kafiya Films. After the all-time blockbuster Purnabahadurko Sarangi, this is Bijay Baral’s first lead role film of the year. In 2081 B.S., Bijay and Keki are expected to appear together in one of the year’s major blockbusters, “Janai Haraeko Manche: Sambandhaka Dhagaharu.”
