Kathmandu – A new Teej-themed song titled “Maitiko Dailo“ (Mother’s Home Doorstep), featuring the popular singer Samikshya Adhikari, has been officially released. Alongside Adhikari, the song also features vocals by Madan Dhakal, Bimala Dhakal, and Laxmi Basnet.
Presented by Madan Dhakal, the song is described as a heartfelt musical gift for all sisters and women as the Teej festival approaches. The lyrics are penned by Madan Dhakal himself, with music composed by Ghanashyam Khatri. Anmol Basnet arranged the music, and Bimal Chhinal handled the mixing.
The music video was shot in Gorkha and stars model Usha Subedi, along with Ghanashyam Khatri, Binod BK, Geeta Pariyar, and Manju Pandey. The video was filmed by Marubhumi Narayan and edited by Roshan Dhital. Singer Madan Dhakal also took on the roles of director and story writer for the video.
The emotional storyline portrays a woman sharing her grief and struggles at her maternal home after the loss of her husband. The video has been released through the TM Music Production YouTube channel.
