Kathmandu — The upcoming Nepali film Paralko Aago, scheduled to release on Baisakh 11, has unveiled its second song titled “Dukh Sukh Jindagani.” The production team released the song on Saturday as part of its ongoing promotional campaign.

The song is performed by Prakash Saput and singer Shantishree Pariyar, with lyrics and music composed by Saput himself. Sudeep Sagar has arranged the music. The video features lead actors Suhana Thapa and Prakash Saput, marking their first on-screen pairing. Their on-screen chemistry, portrayed with a romantic touch, has been well-received by viewers.

With the film’s release date approaching, promotions have intensified. Earlier, the teaser and the first song “Udi Jau Bhane, Ma Panchi Hoin” were released, both of which gained widespread appreciation from audiences. The newly released second song, sung by two of today’s most popular voices—Prakash Saput and Shantishree—highlights youthful love and rural emotions.

The song visually captures village life, including scenes of grass-cutting, goat herding, and daily rural activities, making Suhana and Prakash’s pairing appear even more natural. Released through the OSR YouTube channel, the song has been receiving positive feedback. The choreography is done by Ramji Lamichhane, and the film is directed by Laxman Sunar.

Inspired by Guru Prasad Mainali’s celebrated literary work Paralko Aago, the film features a strong cast including Suhana Thapa, Saugat Malla, Prakash Saput, Sirjana Adhikari, Kishor Bhandari, Jack Shrestha, Sarita Bhandari, Renu Nyaupane, and child artist Manjila Baniya.

Produced under the banner of Hari Om Cine Makers Pvt. Ltd., the film is produced by Sushil Pokharel. The screenplay and dialogue are written by veteran writer and actor Sushil Devkota. The film’s cinematography is by Sankalpa Bhujel, editing by Ramji Lamichhane and Milan Shrestha, and color grading by Kanal Kanwar. The background score is composed by Kiran Tuladhar, with music contributions from Shanti Thapa, Satya–Swaroop Acharya, and Prakash Saput. Lyrics are written by Man Bahadur Mukhia, Surendra Rana, and Prakash Saput.

The film’s art direction is handled by Pratik Chaudhary, with Karan Bahadur Saud serving as chief assistant director. VFX work is done by Samir Miya and Satyam Rana, while the teaser and trailer editors are Sahil Khan. The film’s mixing is by Mukesh Shah, and production coordination by Nagendra Ghimire. The film is produced by Sulabhi Pokharel and Satyam Pokharel, and distributed by RR Films, with OSR acquiring the digital rights.

A film based on the same story was previously made 45 years ago by director Pratap Subba, inspired by Guru Prasad Mainali’s acclaimed short story from the collection Naso.
