Kathmandu: The makers of the upcoming Nepali film Pension Patta, directed by actor-filmmaker Maotse Gurung, have unveiled the film’s first-look posters, officially launching its promotional campaign ahead of its September 11 (Bhadra 26) theatrical release.

Released on the occasion of Asar 15, the three posters offer a glimpse into the film’s central themes of family, struggle, love, and rural life.

The first poster features Dayahang Rai and Gaumaya Gurung in a village setting. Gaumaya is seen carrying a young goat, while Dayahang’s emotional expression reflects the warmth, simplicity, and human values of rural life.

The second poster portrays the pair walking hand in hand along a trail beside a waterfall. With Gaumaya carrying a traditional basket and Dayahang bearing a heavy load, the image symbolizes hardship, companionship, responsibility, and enduring love amid nature’s beauty.

The third poster presents Dayahang in a military uniform alongside Gaumaya in traditional Gurung attire. The presence of younger characters in the background hints at themes of love, waiting, family bonds, and generational transition, suggesting that the film explores much more than the life of a retired Gurkha soldier.
