KATHMANDU — On the occasion of the first day of Nepali New Year 2083, a new film titled Ratyouli has been officially announced, along with its lead cast.
Actor Pooja Sharma is set to produce the film under her banner Pooja Sharma Productions and will also play the lead role. She will be paired opposite Bijay Baral, marking their first on-screen collaboration. The announcement was made through a poster featuring both actors.
The film is being produced in association with Nightingale Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., with Suraj Acharya serving as the producer. Direction will be handled by Muskan Dhakal.
Suraj Acharya, who has worked as a production designer in over 100 Nepali films, also brings experience as a line producer in several Indian projects such as Uunchai, Farzi, Mirai, Tison Naidu, and Das Ka Dum. With over 32 years in the film industry, he has previously worked as a co-producer in Mero Love Story and Karmayoddha, and as a producer in Varmala.
The poster showcases Pooja and Bijay dancing in a traditional Ratyouli setting. Pooja is seen wearing a daura suruwal and a Nepali topi, with a playful moustache drawn on her lips—hinting at a fun and entertaining tone for the film.
Further details about the storyline have not yet been revealed. However, the fresh pairing of Pooja Sharma and Bijay Baral is already generating curiosity among audiences.
